Loss

Today I was faced with thepossibility of losing a dear friend. She has been giving me the "cold shoulder" for several days and now is posting some comments of facebook that are abigous. I cannot seem to get this person to talk to me about what she believes I did, so instead of worrying over this, I mediated.

I went outside, as the exercise the teacher suggested, and listened to the sounds of nature. It was so calming hearing the running water and birds. It enabled me to gain strength to wait out this turmoil and gave me hope that when she is ready to talk to me and if she feels our friendship is worth saving, she will come to me.

  1. Hi Barbara,

I have experienced the same thing this year. I simply left a polite message apologizing for whatever I unconsciously did and whenever you decide to talk I'm here. You can not worry about other people . You have to learn " it is what is" and move on. And figure its something in their life that they are dealing with . Smooches Charmia

  2. Hi Barbara,

Charmia is right! You cannot put your life on hold when someone decides that he or she has a problem with something you supposedly said or did. When your friend is ready, she will reach out to you, if not, then it is her loss.

I like that you took Professor N's activity and found some peace and strength in it. We all need to reconnect with nature more often.
